In accordance with the scope of her work and the tasks entrusted to her, the Information Commissioner has presented Croatian Parliament with the Report on the Implementation of the Act on the Right of Access to Information for 2016 which contains detailed descriptions of how to handle requests for access to information and for the re-use of information (with statistical presentations), followed by the procedure for the appeals process, as well as beneficiary petitions and inquiries. The report also contains information on the implementation of inspections and findings from the analytical monitoring of the implementation of certain provisions of the Act, as well as information on educational activities, the promotion of access to information and other information related to the Information Commissioner’s proceedings throughout 2016.
The Report on the Implementation of the Act on the Right of Access to Information, under parliamentary procedure, will be given to the Government of the Republic of Croatia for deliberation and will be debated by Parliament during a session, after which the representatives at the session will discuss it and vote on it.
